In the year 2000, Kim established Peak Events, an event company that ran for twelve years and produced and directed over 500 events. These event experiences have been invaluable in informing the way Kim approaches large scale art projects. She is able to visualise a project understanding the scale and detail required along with the potential for realisation through multiple channels and approaches.
Peak Events produced everything from small intimate dinners for Australia’s leading screenwriters, to multi-day conferences jet boating down wild canyons and picnicking on isolated beaches. They staged building launches with opera singers and car launches on snow-covered mountain passes, fashion parades and white-clothed dinners.
Peak Events worked with a high calibre of clients amongst which included The Australian Writers Guild, Film Victoria, AMP Capital Investors, Colliers International, Walt Disney, Renault, Cadbury Schweppes and Wizard Home Loans.
Kim directed all elements of the event from its inception to its completion inclusive of the event strategy, conceptual and artistic vision, working with any steering committees to produce content, programs, budgets and packages. Today Kim takes and applies this experience to her ongoing consulting and freelance roles.
“Kim is a very rare combination of passion, creativity, entrepreneurship and care with a spectacular ability to succeed.” Jacqueline Elaine (Woodman), Executive Director, Australian Writers Guild.
